What is PMCM in industrial construction?

PMCM, or Project Management and Construction Management, is an integrated service model in which a single firm manages both the strategic planning and the construction execution of a capital project on the owner’s behalf. A PMCM firm serves as the owner’s representative, managing scope, schedule, cost, procurement, contractors, risk, and reporting across the full project lifecycle. Unlike a general contractor, whose accountability is limited to a construction contract, a PMCM firm’s accountability extends to the owner’s business objectives from concept through closeout.
