Project Overview:
IPI provided comprehensive FEL2 and FEL3 services for Constellium’s DC Casting Expansion at its Muscle Shoals, AL, facility. The project was developed to increase melting and casting capacity through the reuse and expansion of existing infrastructure and installation of modern melting and automated casting systems, adding approximately 100 KTPA of production capacity.
IPI’s scope included project definition, engineering coordination, execution planning, estimating, scheduling, project controls, procurement support, constructability, value engineering, and risk management. IPI worked closely with all stakeholders to advance the project from conceptual definition through FEL3, develop a detailed Project Execution Plan, and prepare the project for Gate 3 approval and future execution, with a strong focus on minimizing disruption to ongoing plant operations.
