As an Owner of IPI, Derek is focused on driving operational efficiency across the organization by working closely with Business Operations, Project Success, Project Controls, and Safety teams to provide operational oversight and support continuous process improvement initiatives. He also helps identify and remove functional roadblocks across IPI’s business verticals to promote collaboration, efficiency, and successful project execution.
Derek brings more than 20 years of experience in design engineering, project engineering, and construction management across the food and beverage, chemical, oil and gas, automotive, aerospace, and aluminum industries. His background includes direct construction oversight, contract management, project management, construction management, personnel management, program operations, facilities engineering, proposal development, and detailed design engineering. Throughout his career, Derek has supported clients including Boeing, Unity Aluminum, Lindt & Sprungli, BMW, KIA, Hyundai, INVISTA, Flexsys, SK, Constellium, and NCRA. Prior to joining IPI, he worked with Global Performance and Wood. Derek earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University.
